KME won the order for Al Ansab STP upgrade, Oman, from Doosan Heavy Industries Co., Ltd, Korea
KME received the contract and order for Al Ansab STP upgrade, Oman, from Doosan Heavy Industries Co., Ltd, Korea. The upgraded capacity will be 120 000 m3/d and completion will be expected in August, 2017.
Because Muscat City had been rapidly developing residential and commercial areas, the existing STP needed to expand its capacity. KUBOTA Submerged Membrane Units have been employed at the existing STP for Phase I, and have been performing well within consents limits since 2010. KUBOTA Submerged Membrane unit requires simple operation and easy maintenance. Additionally, KUBOTA has been closely supporting the end user, HAYA WATER. Those would be the reasons why HAYA WATER chose KUBOTA Submerged Membrane Units again for this expansion project (Phase II).
